Job Description

This role will be based in Mountain View.

The Global Revenue Recognition team is seeking a Senior Revenue Analyst based in LinkedIn’s Mountain View office (hybrid role).  This individual will work cross functionally with our Sales, Pricing, Legal and Deal Desk teams to structure, assess, and approve deals in accordance with applicable revenue guidance. In addition, they will assist in analyzing different sales programs and new product introductions, determining revenue impacts and implementing end-to-end process updates relative to these initiatives. This role will report to the Revenue Manager and will be part of a dynamic revenue team with great career development opportunities and exposure to exciting new offerings.

A successful candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, an inquiring mind, and a positive attitude. Having the ability to adapt to change and shift priorities quickly while maintaining accuracy will be key for this role.  While focusing on details, this candidate can consider the big picture and make recommendations for compliant processes that support LinkedIn’s future growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess new sales initiatives and programs for proper accounting and determine revenue recognition is in accordance with the relevant accounting guidance
  • Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on behalf of Global Revenue for New Product Introductions (NPI) and Sales frameworks
  • Provide support to cross functional partners such as Deal Desk, Pricing, Legal and Sales to ensure all accounting impacts have been considered
  • Review and approve non-standard deal language on offers and Sales Agreements to assess for any potential revenue recognition impact in accordance with relevant accounting guidance
  • Periodical assessment of Revenue Management System transactions for completeness and accuracy
  • Perform month-end close duties, including journal entries, large deal reviews and account reconciliations
  • Complete ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study
  • 5+ years of relevant revenue experience such as ASC 606
  • Experience with Enterprise Financial Management Solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics
  • Experience with Revenue Management Solutions such as Zuora


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate Excel skills (e.g. PivotTable and VLOOKUP)
  • A versatile and driven team player with the ability to build relationships while executing on deliverables 
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to simultaneously drive numerous projects, and adapt to business process changes
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve differing business issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues on your immediate team, as well as with all cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge and experience in SAAS accounting
  • Project management skills

The pay range for this role is $98,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
