Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Research Officer and Analyst. As a Senior Research Officer and Analyst at JOS Group LLC, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, collecting and analyzing data, and providing valuable insights. You will design and implement research methodology, manage research projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable intelligence. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Applicant will use a broad range of quantitative methods to perform complex analyses, synthesize data, and produce research and evaluation findings to be shared with diverse audiences and stakeholders, like work done in the fields of data science and analytics. This position requires skills for improving the use of evaluation from both a system and program perspective; they require individuals with the ability to build capacity for evaluation use by engaging in learning conversations with a variety of stakeholders with the purpose of transforming data in action. Applying project management skills and interdisciplinary expertise, the individual is responsible for supporting oversight, coordinating, and management of internal and external evaluation, monitoring, and research projects to achieve project success. Additionally, the individual will be expected to have sufficient expertise to contribute to research designs and methodologies requiring primary data collections.

This position is remote with occasional travel to the customer site once a quarter or on an as needed

Qualifications

Post Graduate degree in Data, Statistics,

Data Science, Public Policy Analysis, Public Affairs or related fields

Proven experience in research and analysis, including data collection, interpretation, and visualization

Strong knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis tools with over 3 years of current experience (e.g., SPSS, R, Python, or similar)

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

Ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Experience with project management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Exceptional organizational and time management skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
