Senior R&D Technician – Direct Hire

Currently looking for a skilled individual to fill a Direct Hire Senior R&D Technician opening with a company in Brooklyn Park, MN. Interested candidates should have at least 3+ years of experience supporting R&D and project teams in coordinating the building, testing & evaluating of prototypes, summarizing/documenting test results, overseeing the maintenance of equipment & instrumentation, and be able to guide & train technicians.

Senior R&D Technician Job Description:

• Design and build prototypes.
• Provide guidance and training to technicians.
• Maintains proper documentation of repairs, calibrations, periodic safety inspections, preventive maintenance procedures and in-service training sessions.
• Work with R&D engineers to develop basic processes needed for product fabrication.
• Work with outside consultants, vendors, and the medical community.
• Create documentation for the processes used in building products.
• Support design reviews and customer visits.
• Summarize and document test results.
• Manage program compliance with Quality Control requirements. Provide leadership to the team by working to define clear, realistic goals.

Senior R&D Technician Job Requirements:

• A 2 year technical degree (preferred) & 3+ years of field experience (required)
• 3+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment are preferred
• Additional years of relevant experience and significant hands-on success may prove equivalent to degree requirement.
• Knowledge of medical products preferred.
• Good computer skills, data analysis skills and report writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

The starting salary for the Senior R&D Technician position is $70,000 - $80,000 annually.
