Role Description
The Senior Quality Technician tests and inspects critical aerospace and DoD components and assemblies at various stages of development.
Responsibilities
Evaluate data and write inspection reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards and document other critical characteristics, processes and materials.
Inspect complex contoured surfaces using multi-axis coordinate measuring machine and associated computer software; accurately measures with handheld precision measuring tools
Program, set-up and verify inspection programs for multi-axis coordinate measuring machine
Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with engineering staff to determine quality tolerance, specifications and reliability standards
Deliberate with engineering staff to determine quality tolerance, specifications, and reliability standards
Qualifications
Preferred Education / Experience
Associates Degree;
5+ years of related discipline; or
A combination of education and experience equivalent to above
Preferred Knowledge / Ability:
Proficient with Verisurf, PC-DMIS, or similar programming system
Ability to read and interpret blueprints/engineering drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and Quality Control procedure manuals
Proficient using manual hand tool inspection equipment
Valid drivers’ license with a clean driving record is required
Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
Detailed knowledge of DOD-STD-100C and ANSI Y14.5M requirements
US citizenship and eligibility to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance
