Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead with expertise in managing and executing comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the quality, performance, and security of our database solutions and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test planning, execution, and leadership, with in-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices. As a Test Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards of quality while collaborating closely with development and operations teams.

Test Strategy and Planning:

  • Collaborate with application developers, database developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test plans and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data for manual and automated testing.
  • Ensure that test plans cover all functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, security, and scalability.

Test Execution and Management:

  • Lead the execution of test plans, including functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing.
  • Utilize automated testing tools and frameworks to streamline test execution and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough defect analysis and reporting, working closely with development teams to resolve issues promptly.

DevSecOps and Continuous Improvement:

  • Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous testing and feedback.
  • Implement and manage security testing practices within the testing framework, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the overall quality of deliverables.

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical mentorship to other staff and development team members on testing best practices and methodologies.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews, providing recommendations for improving testability and quality.
  • Stay current with emerging testing technologies and trends and recommend adoption where appropriate.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Participate in Agile development cycles, contributing to sprint planning and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure testing requirements are met.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to provide technical guidance and ensure alignment on quality objectives.
  • Communicate testing progress, results, and issues to project stakeholders effectively.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with low code projects and testing environment
  • Write user-friendly training documents that meet the needs of the target audience
  • Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write user guides, standard operating procedures, and other deliverables as requested

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of proven experience as a Test Lead or in a similar role, with a strong background in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Experience with testing database solutions, particularly those involving Microsoft Dataverse or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based environments and services, such as Azure.
  • Strong understanding of testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and experience implementing testing within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • US citizenship required.
