Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Purchasing Specialist/Buyer, you'll play a key role in our procurement and supplier management processes. Here's what you'll be doing:

Collaborate with project management to prepare Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and ensure accuracy and completeness.

Process purchasing transactions and award purchase orders within specified guidelines.

Use your negotiation skills to conduct price analyses, negotiate terms, and identify supplier risks.

Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure requirements are met and manage supplier performance.

Work closely with our program office to address sourcing challenges and find innovative solutions.

Monitor procurement reports and drive performance to meet company metrics.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

Experience in issuing purchase orders, preferably for medium to high complexity and dollar values.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to lead formal negotiations.

Proficiency in price and cost analysis, source selection, and supplier quotation analysis.

Knowledge of procurement procedures, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 44.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Demonstrated Leadership Abilities And Problem-solving Skills.

Strong time management abilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Education And Experience

Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and at least 5 years of experience.
