POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Project Manager of Product Development, reporting to the VP of Product Development will be responsible for planning and tracking progress through the entire lifecycle of a product, from concept to delivery. Through close partnerships with Product Development, Packaging, Operations, Marketing and Creative partners you will ensure new products are successfully launched on time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones for initiatives spanning across all phases of product development
Create/Own and manage detailed project plans complete with dependencies, owners, deadlines and durations in Wrike
Projects will include managing product life-cycle end to end, creative deliverable trafficking, artwork and packaging milestones
Design project dashboards and other helpful visuals (slides for presentations) to communicate information quickly and effectively, and ‘at-a-glance’ for all stakeholders
Create and maintain an effective project tracker and enforce regular use of it
Own all sub-projects connected to New Product Launches; PR send outs, Sampling programs, Sample requests, Sets etc.
Understand project nuances and learn where to reduce time in partnership with cross functional teams
Understand and flag project risks and present options to mitigate risks
Drive projects forward and influence decision making
Ensure information and status is communicated effectively to all interested parties both internal and external to the organization
Manage and enforce timelines for new product launches and follow critical milestones from product initiation to production, and launch
Facilitate, schedule, and manage timely project status meetings internally and externally
Run meetings efficiently and effectively, identify action items from meetings clearly and provide clear meeting recaps to attendees
Observe and analyze cross departmental workflows and provide recommendations for process improvements (meetings, sampling, artwork etc)

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 4 years work experience in product development and project management within a retail or brand environment
Experience in packaging development a plus
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Passion for the beauty category
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Wrike, Word Excel GSuite Apps
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage complexity
Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to develop creative solutions in dynamic and changing business environment
Team player mentality with an innovative and strategic mindset
Must be a self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and exceptional management
Strong sense of urgency, ability to manage details while responding to changing priorities and feedback
