Senior Project Manager

Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: Remote (Must reside in the State of Tennessee with some travel required)

Overview: The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH), Division of Health Disparities Elimination, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage and coordinate projects and initiatives related to equity, inclusion, and leadership development training efforts. This position requires a candidate with strong project management skills, experience in leadership development, and a commitment to promoting equity and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate projects and initiatives focused on equity, inclusion, and leadership development.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of programs and initiatives.
  • Travel throughout the state of Tennessee to attend meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to the position.
  • Develop and implement strategies for public outreach, community engagement, and professional networking.
  • Work with creative teams in a dynamic environment to drive project success.
  • Ensure compliance with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Prepare and present reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomes.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, community health, public health, public relations, project management, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of work experience in leadership development and collaboration across integrated and multifaceted programs.
  • Experience in education and public outreach activities, equity initiatives, and community engagement, including professional networking and working with culturally diverse populations.
  • Proven experience working with creative teams in a dynamic environment.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Access, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel as needed throughout the state of Tennessee and potentially beyond for meetings, workshops, or additional training.
