Senior Project Manager

Position located in Waltham, MA

Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

• Lead assigned project managers to ensure development of the PM activities and proper integration and alignment of all managed projects.
• Provide direction and oversight to cross-functional project teams.
• Plan, lead, and facilitate regular cross-functional project team meetings.
• Develop detailed task lists and work effort assessment and short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from all key players and team members.
• Perform project management functions for assigned projects, ensuring project goals, timeframe, accountability, and budget are achieved.
• Continually review and ensure adequate resources are available to meet deliverables and milestones.
• Develop, lead, and implement continuous improvement for assigned projects

Requirements of the Project Manager:

• BS degree in Life sciences or related; Masters or other advanced degree preferred. PMP certification is also preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in project management within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire effective teamwork and motivate staff within a matrix organization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead by example and to encourage team members to seek solutions independently.
