Senior Project Engineer

Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client, a global manufacturer of agricultural equipment, on their search for a Senior Project Engineer in the eastern Des Moines IA area.

* This company is specifically seeking candidates with U.S. military experience *

Compensation: $120,000-$135,000 + profit-sharing bonus (typically averages from 7-12%) + relocation ($4-10K, based on distance)

What You Will Do:

• Ensure projects are completed within budget, scope, time, and to the highest level of quality.
• Supervise, organize, mentor and coach assigned team members in performance of their duties while influencing others to carry the culture forward.
• Establish and monitor individual and team goals which are aligned with the organization’s strategies and objectives to drive key business results.
• Use expertise to ensure department is serving its internal and external customers and meeting defined expectations.
• Ensure all project needs are being met, to include securing additional resources, setting daily or weekly priorities for project team members, communicating to all involved parties, and working with the more challenging situations or people.
• Facilitate planning sessions, support plan development, and provide planning expertise to set out appropriate approach to each project. Collaborate with and lead cross functional teams that support overall project development and implementation.
• Align project delivery with strategic objectives, manage changes in priority and adjust project schedules.
• Track and manage project resources which includes resource allocation and capacity planning and balance.

Education and Work Experience:

• U.S. Military Experience required
• 4-year college degree (major in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Management)
• 10+ years’ engineering experience
• Program/project management experience required: must demonstrate leadership, team work, collaboration, creativity, and innovation.
• Knowledge of Automation Engineering and/or Robotics Engineering preferred but NOT required.
