Responsibilities

Job Description

This position is responsible for project management and coordination of technology business improvement projects along with ownership and administrative support of the tools used by the Enterprise Technology team and other teams to manage their project work . This involves ensuring on time and on budget delivery of organizationally transformative enterprise initiatives and other significant technology infrastructure investments that are occurring in parallel while strictly adhering to system development lifecycle controls and standard implementation methodologies. This will involve meticulous coordination to manage and meet project milestones, develop project plans and schedules, track and reconcile budgets/actuals, conduct risk assessments, and ensure highly organized project performance reporting and effective risk mitigation measures throughout project lifecycles. Assisting with project intake, sizing, value stories, and prioritization will also be included. Deep understanding and effective use of industry leading project management software tools is also required to maximize efficiencies.

Key Accountabilities

Role accountabilities include:

  • Project Initiation and Planning / "Discovery phase" of change lifecycle. This includes working with businesses partners to identify issues, risks, opportunities, etc. Coordination and creation of schedules, budget, project charters, project plans, requirements definition, etc.
  • Project Execution: "Delivery phase" of change lifecycle. This includes coordination and completion of hands-on work and providing direction to project team members, risk mitigation, project performance reporting, etc.
  • Project Review/Support: "Embed phase" of change lifecycle. Carrying out post-go-live activities such as monitoring adoption metrics, reviewing implementation feedback for future improvements, and carefully archive detailed project documentation.
  • Support PMO initiative such as assisting with project preplanning for all request for the ET organization. Providing project status and KPI for leadership, leading forecast and budgeting exercises, and support of project management tools including Monday.com and Azure DevOPs.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications/Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, information systems, or related field required.
  • At least 3 years of IT/System support or project coordination or management experience.
  • At least 5 years of general working experience.
  • Working in a SOX regulated environment and experience maintaining audit quality project documentation is preferred.
  • Project management certification (PMP, Six Sigma, etc.), highly preferred.
  • Experience in Energy industry and/or construction projects, preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience and established proficiency in a variety of business applications, including but not limited to:
    • MS Office Applications (Projects, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint) – Proficiency in VBA and Excel formulas preferred.
    • Project Management software tools such as AzureDevOps and Monday.com highly preferred
    • Visio, Lucid or other process mapping software
  • Demonstrated problem solving and communication abilities, including:
    • Verbally, through mediums such as PowerPoint and process diagrams
    • Managing multiple deliverables with competing needs and resource requirements.
    • Skill and toughness at driving resolutions and decision-making of complex conflicts/problems across a wide range of business stakeholders and interest levels.
    • Excellent organization skills and experience maintaining extensive and auditable documentation to evidence detailed completion of tasks. Working with cross-functional teams as a key contributor and/or project manager driving solutions and producing results for projects
  • Multi-cultural and multi-regional experience is highly preferred.
  • Renewable energy industry experience is desirable.
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. up to 5-10% of time.
The expected starting pay range for this role is $98,000 - $120,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
