Apex Systems has an opening for a Sr. Product Owner over Manufacturing Technology for a national client. This position will help lead manufacturing innovation efforts by owning the roadmap of cutting-edge technology implementations in their facilities (Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Robotics, ETC).
Candidates for this position should come from a strong foundation in Manufacturing with an emphasis on process and quality improvement through technical innovation.
Remote candidates should expect to travel up to 50% (15+ days a month) to the Tennessee headquarters as well as manufacturing facilities nationwide.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Serve as a liaison between customers, business units and Tech to define and prioritize work for development teams by aligning features and user stories with business value.
Be the voice of the customer, stakeholder, and end user.
Ensure that there is alignment on business strategy to be enabled by the product.
Establish, document, and maintain the product vision necessary to deliver on the relevant business strategy and resolve any conflict among stakeholders.
Will have responsibility for developing, in partnership with business stakeholders, a roadmap for the product in line with the product vision and both intermediate and longer-term business objectives.
Evaluate, and plan for, organizational change driven by execution of the roadmap.
Work closely with developers and analysts to create executable stories and provides final approval that ensures delivered stories meet user acceptance criteria.
Responsible for building and maintaining a prioritized Product Backlog, based on stakeholder feedback.
Participate in all scrum ceremonies.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience supporting an innovative manufacturing environment.
2+ years’ experience in an Agile methodology environment in a product owner or similar role.
Experience in Agile product ownership, software development, Scrum, and phases of the project life cycle.
Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications that can be used for development and break down technical complexities so that they can be easily understood by business units and end users.
Build and maintain the Product Backlog of user stories (detailed requirements) and defects. Partner with product stakeholders and business leaders to prioritize user stories. Ensure product status is communicated.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical or business experience.
