Senior Producer, Scripps News (Temporary | Remote)

The E.W. Scripps Company and Scripps News is seeking a temporary Senior Producer, responsible for managing all pre-production and daily production of assigned show(s).

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Pre-Production:

  • Oversee all scheduling of segments with producers.
  • Manage show boards.
  • Work with Co-Exec Producer to stack and plan daily shows.
  • Communicate creative and timing needs to producers.
  • Oversee the scheduling of all shoots, editing and airing of pieces.
  • Support the Co-Exec Producer in oversight of all studio/stand-up elements as they relate to each segment.
  • Oversee and produce elements of sweeps programming and weekend episodes.
  • Work with other Senior Producers to manage content flow and build each weekend show.

Day-of-show responsibilities:

  • Pitch and produce top of the show elements for daily broadcast;-managing the in-studio aspects of the show as it relates to talent stand-ups and segments.
  • Oversee all morning voice-over and talent needs.
  • Fact-checking and oversight of final product before the feed.
  • Work with the other Senior Producers to manage content flow.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • 8+ years experience with entertainment show
