Role Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Procurement Category Manager specializing in Software. In this role, you will leverage your strategic sourcing expertise to drive cost-effective methodologies that align with our company and departmental objectives. Collaboration is key as you will interface with cross-functional teams to optimize supplier relationships and negotiate strategic contracts.
Responsibilities
Lead and execute long-term agreements using formal RFx methodologies.
Analyze spend data and industry trends to prioritize and launch sourcing initiatives.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Cultivate positive relationships across business units to ensure active participation in supplier-related matters.
Conduct negotiations encompassing financial terms and risk mitigation for strategic contracts.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop effective sourcing strategies.
Drive supplier segmentation, scorecards, and strategic business reviews to enhance performance.
Manage supplier contract renewals to maximize competitive pricing and quality.
Foster strategic relationships with key suppliers to achieve partnership objectives.
Provide expertise on complex procurement, legal, and contractual issues.
Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a transformative environment.
Preferred Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience In Contract Negotiations Preferred.
Background in IT, Professional Services, Software, SaaS applications, or emerging technologies.
Proven track record in managing strategic sourcing projects and RFx processes.
Ability to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
Skilled in managing large, complex supplier deals with customer requirements.
Capable of interacting and presenting to senior leadership.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Management, or Supply Chain.
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Procurement Category Manager or Purchasing Manager.
Authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
