EPG’s solutions utilize power system knowledge base, big data analytics, high performance computing, machine learning and advanced analytics for solving industry problems such as oscillation monitoring, detection, and source location; wide area situational awareness; integration of renewables; managing and monitoring inverter based renewable resources (IBR); mission critical control center operations; model validation; event detection and root cause assessments; and advanced platforms for real-time power system assessments using linear state estimation, synchrophasor-based power flow and contingency analysis..

 

Current Opportunity: EPG is seeking qualified applicants to join its team of experts in the areas of Power Systems Engineering for full-time employment. EPG offers a professional and collaborative work environment, opportunity to learn, stability, and growth opportunity.

 

Senior Power Systems Engineer: Proficiency in power system analysis including power flow simulations, contingency analysis, and event analysis. Relevant areas for this position include state estimation, linear state estimation, contingency analysis, EMS applications, and advanced data analytics. Applicants with experience in EMS advanced applications, real-time operations support for transmission and distribution systems, and control room technology, including synchrophasor applications, are highly encouraged to apply for this position.

 

Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field and at least five years of experience in EMS supporting roles or utility experience using power flow and contingency analysis tools. Applicants with advanced degrees require a minimum or three years of experience.
