We are in the process of implementing Paycom as our core HRIS system which will we use for payroll, timekeeping, compensation planning, performance management, applicant tracking and learning to support over 1500 employees across 13 locations in the US and Canada.


We are seeking a Total Rewards – Payroll Senior Analyst to help implement, configure, and process payroll across all sites in the US and Canada.


North American Total Rewards – Payroll Senior Analyst


Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end compensation cycle processes (pay analysis, merit, monthly/annual bonus processing)
  • Own payroll processing and administration for locations in the United States and Canada (specifically Ontario and Quebec)
  • Manage the time and attendance and vacation policies and HRIS configurations across locations in the United States and Canada (specifically Ontario and Quebec)
  • Help facilitate user training to supervisors and HR for HRIS and Timekeeping systems
  • Manage select benefit programs for either US, Canada, or both (car allowance program, service awards, recognition, health, medical & wellness, retirement, leave of absences, employee perks etc.)
  • Conduct financial and data analytics and reporting on labor, spend, accruals, hiring, and turnover.
  • Collaborate and build strong partnerships with finance, accounting, human resources business partners and external providers
  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with ongoing and complex taxation issues, including the accurate assessment of taxable benefits, and year-end reporting for W2’s, T4’s and RL-1’s.
  • Reconcile WCB, WSIB, CNESST payments and Employer Health Tax Reports.
  • Complete all government reporting obligations for Canada including Records of Employment (ROE) with the Federal Government each time there is an interruption of earnings.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 8 - 10 years’ experience in Human Resources/Compensation/Total Rewards/Finance.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Detail and process oriented. Demonstrated analytical thinking skills.
  • Strong customer service and partnership orientation, both working with external vendors and employees.
  • Current and is up to speed on legislative matters and implications for both US and Canada (specifically Ontario and Quebec provinces)
  • Experience partnering with external total reward consulting and brokerage firms.
  • Owning payroll processing and administration for both US, Ontario and Quebec locations.
  • Supporting unionized manufacturing locations and sites with differing time and attendance policies and rules
  • Configurating, testing and implementing a new HRIS system (Paycom is a plus)
  • Experience working in a private equity environment is a plus


Education and Language Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline, such as accounting, finance, business administration, or human resources
  • Proficient in English and French
  • National Payroll Association certification - Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) and/or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) preferred.
