Senior Oracle Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator to manage and support our complex database environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle GoldenGate, Exadata, Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager, along with a strong understanding of database architecture and best practices.

Location: Seaside, CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Oracle databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
• Utilize Oracle Golden Gate for real-time data integration and replication.
• Manage and maintain Oracle Exadata environments, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Applying oracle database patches on assigned databases.
• Implement and oversee Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery and data protection.
• Use Oracle Enterprise Manager for monitoring, tuning, and managing databases.
• Perform database tuning, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.
• Develop and enforce database standards, guidelines, and procedures.
• Lead and mentor junior database administrators and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues and provide 24/7 support as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation and perform regular database maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
• Proven expertise in Oracle GoldenGate, Exadata, Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting.
• Experience with database design, architecture, and optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Relevant Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP, OCM) are a plus.
