Senior Operations Manager
Job Description
JOB FUNCTION/ PURPOSE
The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance activities of water and wastewater plants as well as providing support and oversight of Operations Managers within his/her assigned area.
Responsibilities
B Water and B Wastewater license required
Licenses/Certifications : Valid Texas Driver’s License. A valid class TCEQ “B” water and wastewater certificate is required or able to be attained within one year of filling this position.
Technical : Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications & internet. Ability to work with basic office equipment & phone systems. Working knowledge of OSHA requirements, DOT regulations & Utility SOPs. Proficiency completing all regulatory documentation, reports and correspondence. Able to use systems and data to understand business trends.
Communication : Communicates clearly & professionally. Contributes to a positive internal & external customer experience. Maintains composure and takes charge in challenging situations. Collaborates with others. Asks for constructive feedback. Promotes a culture of diversity, respect & accountability. Challenges other through productive discussion. Problem Solving & Quality : Pays attention to detail. Identifies & solves complex issues. Thinks “big picture” when assessing problems/opportunities. Develops innovative & creative solutions.

Physical Demands
Must be able to frequently lift 50-60 pounds; load, unload & move large equipment/tools; access confined spaces; continuously walk and climb stairs and ladders.

Responsibilities

- Leads his/her team of operators and managers in all aspects of people management including: hiring, orientation/on-boarding, performance management, salary changes, promotions, training and development, transfers and terminations. Monitors and reviews staff work and coach’s appropriate improvement.
- Ensures that all SOPs are followed as well as TCEQ, EPA, DOT, OSHA and other requirements are met.
- Constantly communicates with the account management team regarding ongoing operations.
- Conducts site visits and communicates with maintenance group about maintenance, repairs, etc.
- Ensure all trucks and equipment in assigned area are maintained and kept clean.
- Assists Director of Operations in capital budgeting.
- Create and manage operational budget.
- Create monthly operations reports.
- Ensure all plants in assigned area are tour ready at all times.
- Ensure all Operations managers are performing proper process control to provide optimum treatment at our plants.
- Ensure all compliance related data is submitted on time for his/her assigned area.
- Escalates any compliance issues, employee disciplinary actions, promotions into Lead roles, issues that may place a client or Inframark at risk to the Director of Operations promptly.
- Other duties as assigned.
