About The Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Mix and Master Engineer for a music project. This full-time contract position requires expertise in modern and heavy metal sound production. The project is expected to last more than a week and will be conducted entirely remotely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in crafting professional-quality heavy metal recordings and the ability to deliver high-caliber results within a tight timeframe.

Responsibilities:

  • Mix and master multiple tracks for a heavy metal music project
  • Enhance the overall sound quality while maintaining the artist's creative vision
  • Apply appropriate EQ, compression, and effects to achieve a modern metal sound
  • Balance levels and create a cohesive mix across all tracks
  • Ensure proper dynamics and clarity in the final master


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mix and Master Engineer, with a focus on heavy metal and modern rock genres
  • Advanced knowledge of industry-standard DAWs and plugins (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Waves)
  • Strong understanding of current trends and techniques in heavy metal production
  • Excellent ear for detail and ability to create a polished, professional sound
  • Experience working remotely and managing full projects independently
