Our merchandising team is constantly building brands, starting trends, and developing entirely new product categories. These experts roll up their sleeves and advise our brands on the best way to bring our clients what they crave—and what they will be craving soon. Your Role At Sephora

As a Sr. Merchant, you will be responsible for achieving financial and strategic goals of the assigned category and brands – including sales and gross margin. You will implement department objectives/ projects, brand and client strategies and visual presentations within your assigned brands and the product world. In addition, you will:

  • Develop and execute strategies for category growth opportunities in partnership with brands and regional teams
  • Analyze Sephora sales, market share and market performance to identify opportunities and gaps
  • Establish and manage brand relationships including developing plans for new brand introductions and strategic expansion of existing brands
  • Build and synchronize launch plans for products and brands within the category strategy and in support of regional objectives
  • Build and maintain merchandising best practices
  • Build and share annual category trend forecasts

We’re Excited About You If You Have

  • Minimum 5+ years retail merchant/ buyer level experience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop category/brand strategies
  • High-level problem solving and analytical skills, working well within ambiguity and navigating a complex business
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced and complex environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to collaborate and lead cross functionally
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Flexible working hours
  • Ability to travel 40% of time

The annual base salary range for this position is $128,000.00 - $143,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
