Job Description

Position Summary: The Senior Materials Engineer is responsible for working on new product development, validations and monitors daily quality and engineering duties.

Develops Polymer formulation.

Operates polymer processing equipment such as extrusion, injection molding, and 3D printing.

Leads the commercialization of new products working with suppliers and customers.

Guides New Product And Process Qualifications For Medical Applications.

Completes test method validations.

Monitors the production process, identifies, and implements improvements.

Manages equipment designs and improvement projects from concept to installation and verification.

Provides complex statistical analysis of data using Six Sigma methodologies.

Troubleshoots production and lab equipment issues and implements corrective actions.

Write complex procedures and quality programs.

Mentors’ employees and teammates.

Assess regulatory requirements to implement proactive programs to ensure compliance.

Implements of preventive actions to reduce quality or safety risks.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

Master's degree or Doctorate’s in Chemical or Material Science and Engineering; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Read, analyze and interpret complex documents. Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries. Write speeches and articles using innovative techniques. Make persuasive presentations on complex topics to management, public groups and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Ability:

Comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, algebra and advanced statistical theory. Work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.

Reasoning Ability:

Apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Deal with nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas and equations) in difficult phases. Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
