The Role

We are looking for a Manager or Senior Manager to join Opsahl Dawson’s Tax Forward Team to help create value for our wealth management clients through client-focused strategic tax planning! Leveraging your expertise in tax matters & client relations, you’ll manage crucial client relationships, delivering superior service. As their trusted advisor, you’ll tackle complex tax issues, craft strategic solutions, and offer risk management guidance. Your forward-thinking mindset will enhance service delivery, ensuring innovation remains at the forefront.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with members across ODC and work as a united team, maintaining a fun work environment! You’ll also have the opportunity to drive our team’s growth through mentorship and coaching, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Manage client cases, consistently delivering high-quality service
Provide tax provision preparation, review, and support service to clients on complex engagements
Ensure accuracy of preparation of tax projections
Enhance efficiency across project initiatives
Contribute to team empowerment & professional development by providing mentorship and supportive guidance
Stay up to date with tax regulations, conduct diligent research, and provide consultation on intricate tax matters
Contribute to departmental efficiency enhancements
Required Qualifications
CPA or EA required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
10+ years of tax planning & tax compliance experience.
Experience directly managing and interacting with clients through a variety of channels
Strong client-facing interpersonal and communication skills
Attention to detail
Proficiency with tax and accounting software
Preferred Qualifications
Public accounting experience
Working experience with QuickBooks, CCH Axcess, or Workstream
Substantial knowledge of 1040, 1041, Partnerships, S-Corps, 1099
Experience in individual clients, high net worth individuals, trust & estates, state tax, and pensions

The annual base salary range for this role is $100,000-$145,000. This range includes the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors, including experience, education and/or skill level.
