About the Role

As DoorDash's Senior Manager for Talent Development, you will play a key role in our mission to build and scale high-impact leadership development solutions for our most critical talent needs. You will have end-to-end ownership of global leadership development initiatives, and partner closely with Talent Management, People Business Partners, People Analytics, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, to deliver best-in-class development programs that are as dynamic as the business we support. Success in this role requires data-driven talent insights to identify and prioritize needs, strong working relationships with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholder partners, and measuring the impact of development initiatives against key people metrics.

You will report to the Director of Talent Development at DoorDash. We expect this role to be hybrid with some time in-office and some time remote, anchored to whichever corporate office you are closest.

  • Leadership Development: Collaborate with business leaders and People Team peers to identify key leadership skills and development priorities, design and deliver dynamic leadership development programs that equip leaders with critical skills to lead at DoorDash, promote career growth for high-performing talent, and cultivate a culture of ownership and collaboration.
  • Leading at Scale: Develop senior leaders to lead at scale, role model DoorDash values, and grow leadership capability on their teams. Build a bench of senior leaders as teachers in leadership development programs and learning forums.
  • Talent & Rewards Cycle: Design scalable tools and resources for critical moments in time across the Talent cycle, and provide employees with the development solutions they need, when they need it.
  • Talent Acceleration: Collaborate with Talent Management and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion leadership to develop a pipeline of global talent who are ready to lead in increasingly complex environments and keep pace with the continued growth of the business.
  • Learning Measurement: Design measurement strategies to analyze the effectiveness and impact of our development programs on key people metrics (eg, performance, engagement, retention, etc.), and use data-driven insights to continually improve and refine our solutions.

We're excited about you because you…

  • Have a bachelor's degree with 8+ years experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, and/or Talent Management
  • Have 6+ years in program management experience leading global leadership development initiatives at a company of similar size and/or industry
  • Have excellent strategic thinking and planning skills, with a track record of designing and implementing successful learning strategies that grow and evolve with your business client
  • Have proven expertise in program measurement and evaluation, including impact measurement, evaluating program effectiveness, and developing new metrics/KPIs
  • Have demonstrated experience in piloting, learning and iterating on leadership development initiatives with speed and quality
  • Have strong stakeholder management skills, with specific experience in guiding senior leaders through change
  • Have a strong understanding of the effectiveness of differing learning solutions and modalities, including in-person and virtual instructor-led training (ILT), eLearning and microlearning, and AI-driven learning
  • Have demonstrated expertise independently producing written documents to demonstrate a business case or analyze the impact of your team's work
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and are able to work with stakeholders to find the right questions as well as the right answers
  • Are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment, with strong knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design trends
  • Have relevant certifications in L&D and/or HR-related fields

Compensation

The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.

In addition to base salary, the compensation package for this role also includes opportunities for equity grants.

Colorado Pay Range:

$136,800—$205,200 USD

California Pay Range:

$144,400—$228,000 USD

New York Pay Range:

$152,000—$228,000 USD

Washington Pay Range:

$144,400—$216,600 USD

Washington D.C. Pay Range:

$144,400—$216,600 USD
