Senior Manager, Sales Analytics and Business Intelligence

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Sales Analytics and Business Intelligence to lead our efforts in leveraging data to drive strategic insights and optimize business performance. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with cross functional teams, senior leadership, and business stakeholders. As part of our team you will be instrumental in translating business needs into actionable dashboards, visualizations, and reports to optimize and monitor business performance. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in leveraging data to drive business insights, support decision-making processes, and optimize operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Collaboration and Requirements Gathering: Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data models, reports, and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI
• Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize complex data sets and KPIs effectively, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions.
• Data and ETL processes: Knowledge of high-level database concepts such as relationships, hierarchies, and transformations to ensure data accuracy and business alignment.
• Team Leadership and Mentorship Lead, mentor, and coach a medium size team of analysts and developers in utilizing Power BI, and interpreting analytical findings, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of the output
• Best Practices and Standards: Establish best practices for data quality, governance, and security and drive adherence to data visualization standards across the organization
• Training and Adoption: Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote Power BI adoption and enhance data literacy across the organization
• Industry Knowledge and Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analytics and visualization to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Project Management: Manage the pipeline and queue of dashboards and data requests, identifying project tasks, and leading or assisting with project timeline estimates.
• Testing and Validation: Lead testing to ensure business analytics solutions meet user specifications and that all necessary data validations occur – data accuracy and integrity is critical
• Stakeholder Communication: Demonstrate an ability to understand the audience and quickly comprehend their needs / business requirements to optimize the design of the analytics and reporting solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 10+ years of proven experience in business analytics, preferably in sales and marketing operations in a manufacturing organization
• 10+ years in developing business analytics solutions or reports, focusing on requirements gathering and effective visualization of insights, preferably in a Microsoft Power BI environment
• Strong understanding of database management systems, data warehousing solutions, and familiar with SQL and other database technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities – able to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders; ability to connect with all levels of the organization
• Experience managing multiple high-priority projects with a high degree of effectiveness
• Experience in leading and managing a medium size team of analysts/developers
• Microsoft Power BI Certification(s) a plus
• Hands on leader with a passion for driving operational excellence through data-driven insights.
