What You'll Do
As a member of our consulting team, you will collaborate with team members and client leadership to deliver impactful solutions for the Finance function and beyond.
Experienced candidates will quickly become integral to our team, working both independently and collaboratively. As the main point of contact for our clients, you will directly interact with them to manage projects that are often complex and ambiguous. Our consultants are subject matter experts, expected to engage with clients at all levels to deliver effective solutions in areas such as technical accounting, operational accounting, finance transformation, and other business needs.
As an Accounting Advisory Manager, you will lead and mentor consultants and contribute to client development as our practice grows.
Responsibilities Include
Acting as a trusted advisor to client management, addressing operational and technical accounting, and finance challenges.
Leading complex transactions involving acquisitions, divestitures, debt, and equity.
Designing and implementing improvements to the financial close process, internal controls, and forecasting process, while coaching team members through these processes.
Leading teams in providing technical accounting consulting, including creating technical memorandums, detailed calculations, and projects related to:
Revenue recognition and related costs (ASC 606, ASC 340-40)
Leases (ASC 842)
Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL)
Stock-based compensation, business combinations, foreign currencies, and other relevant accounting standards.
Assessing and improving existing processes within financial reporting and financial analysis & planning functions.
Assisting clients with all financial and reporting aspects of an initial public offering (IPO).
Leading and assisting clients in the selection and implementation of ERP Systems and other finance/accounting software solutions.
Supporting business and practice development through pursuits, market research, and maintaining a network of peers.
Who You Are
You are a finance and/or accounting professional with a proven track record of leadership, excellent client service, and deep accounting/finance knowledge.
Qualifications
An undergraduate degree in Accounting; CPA desirable.
8 to 10 years of experience in a top-tier public accounting firm, with a mix of public accounting and industry experience.
At least 5 years of experience leading, developing, and mentoring teams.
A passion for helping clients solve problems and improving workstreams.
The ability and drive to address problems with varying degrees of complexity.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS, with the ability to research and conclude upon complex issues.
