Your future team

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Program Management to join the CTO Strategic Initiatives team. You will report to the Head of CTO Strategic Initiatives. You will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of strategic programs in support of building a world class Engineering organization.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of program management skills, proven track record in managing end-to-end strategic programs, a deep understanding of the Engineering landscape, and the ability to build strong partnerships with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Own the outcome of strategic programs with a focus on ensuring that the team is driving towards the best outcomes for our customers (Atlassians)
  • You will lead a team of ~4 people who are focused on Engineering new hire programs and work closely with the engineering partners to develop and implement new learning programs. These programs will impact all new engineering hires at Atlassian.
  • Lead your team to develop and maintain program plans, identify resource needs, and balance project schedules; lead communication with program team members and partners on progress, dependencies and risks.
  • Partner and gain alignment with senior executives on critical initiatives.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruiting initiatives
  • Provide regular updates and reports on recruiting activities, including progress against goals, candidate status and market insights.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance Atlassian Engineering brand to attract top talent


Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of program management experience
  • Proven people leader with track record of hiring, retaining, and growing teams
  • Strong executive presence, able to influence senior leaders and set strategic direction as part of senior leadership team
  • Demonstrated experience and success leading high impact, cross-functional programs
  • Demonstrated ability to drive programs in fast-paced, highly ambiguous work environment where program models don't exist
  • Experience using data to drive decision making
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including experience with facilitating meetings and engaging with an executive audience).
  • Comfortable taking calculated risks and experimenting with new solutions


Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable and explainable compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.

Role

In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $221,500 - $295,300

Zone B: $199,400 - $265,800

Zone C: $183,900 - $245,100

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
