The Senior Manager, Corporate Communications will manage and build and scale Ferrara’s corporate brand presence and reputation. Specifically, you will work with the Company’s VP of Institutional Affairs & Corporate Communications to craft the strategy and plans that protect and enhance the reputation of Ferrara as an industry leader and important community member and partner. You will be responsible for helping to manage public relations, social media, brand marketing, storytelling on the corporate website (Ferrara.com), and will help manage issues nationally and locally that impact, or potentially impact, the current business practices and the future growth and reputation of the company.
As the ideal candidate, you will have an established track record of successfully managing public relations and media relations programs and possess external and internal communications acumen. You work well independently and across teams. You are agile, able to reprioritize and shift gears quickly, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Ways you will make a difference
Crafting and managing local and national corporate communications plans to advance the Company’s awareness and reputation in our markets, including:
- Create, lead and execute communications strategies that drive corporate brand awareness and local market affinity in the communities in which Ferrara employees live, work, and play
- Develop and execute a three-year strategy public relations plan and create associated budget and team plan
- Own and manage day-to-day media relationships
- Manage and execute content creation for PR, communications, and corporate brand marketing campaigns including (but not limited to) blog and social media posts, website storytelling, press releases and related campaign materials, industry article bylines and trade media related to key industry events.
- Lead projects to create key brand reputation materials, such as an annual ESG report and the Ferrara.com presence.
- Work hand-in-hand with the Public Affairs & Community Relations team to align priorities and messaging for both traditional corporate communications and legislative/regulatory/stakeholder audiences
- Work with team leader to counsel the company Senior Leadership Team on issues management and conduct message training
- Oversee trade media outreach and manage all onsite media relations at key industry conferences and trade shows
- Select and manage agency partners and contractors to ensure high performance, budget adherence, and visible reporting
- Ensure ongoing reporting of KPIs by agencies and team, and identify gaps between plan execution and actual results
- Represent Ferrara and Institutional Affairs & Corporate Communications Team at various external meetings and events
- Other projects or duties as assigned

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong sense of initiative and ability to work under pressure on multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Desire to create tangible results for your company, and ones in which you can take personal pride
- 8-10 years of Communications experience that includes public relations and social media work
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Microsoft Office adeptness
- Travel requirement - 20% travel
- This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
