Marsh McLennan is seeking candidates for the following position based out of our Urbandale, Iowa office. IT project managers work across the enterprise to ensure that IT projects of all sizes are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality. Project managers bring their organizational savvy to the entire project life cycle, from planning and resource allocation to execution and stakeholder communications. A Senior Manager - IT Project Management leads a group of experienced, professional individual contributors, providing them with guidance to achieve results.

Senior Manager – IT Project Management
What you can expect:
- Work with many stakeholders to coordinate all aspects of the projects.
- The Senior Manager - IT Project Management role reports to the IT Leader for Marsh Affinity US/Canada.
- This position manages a team of experienced IT Business Analysts who exercise latitude and independence in assignments in Information Technology.
- Maintains the PMO Methodology and Lifecycle Processes.
- Brings together and leads a team of subject matters experts and Operational Staff to deliver the stated objectives.
- Plans and executes a number of Technology projects simultaneously to meet clients' demands.
- Provides strong/detailed Project Management, from idea to delivery and project closure.
- Culture of internal mobility, collaboration, and valued partnership with stakeholders.

- Create and maintain all documents that support the PMO Methodology.
- Determine team member responsibilities and hold individuals accountable.
- Coordinate development, architecture, testing and Offshore teams throughout the project life cycle.
- Identify, manage, and escalate issues and risks as appropriate.
- Work with limited supervision, provide feedback on project status and deadlines.
- Collates and tracks program status information and project artifacts at various stages of a project’s lifecycle (status, risk, finances, resource capacity, etc).
- Ensures methodology compliance, auditing and tracking of ongoing projects; using the agreed tools at regular intervals to ensure projects and budgets are on course and follows the approved methodology.
- Own the end-to-end management several IT RTB and CTB budget portfolios including the continued maintenance of those budgets along with all aspects of submission, approval, review, refinement, time tracking, and regular reviews for accuracy.
- Cultivate successful client relationships by bridging the gap between the development team and the business.
- Analyses data and provides Value Add reports on a weekly/monthly basis to IT Leadership and stakeholders.
- Partner with business leaders and senior members of the IT team, ensuring proper communications and project reviews with stakeholders.
- Creates and maintains toolsets used by the Program Management group.
- Recommends corrective actions on projects, if required.
- Setup, manage, and maintain project resource budget forecasts including regular reviews and analysis to be shared with IT and business stakeholders.
- Works close with Program managers and business stakeholders to review project finances.
- Works with Senior IT Management and business segment leaders to agree on yearly program/project roadmap. Regular reviews and adjustments as necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of experience with demonstrated results in leading and managing large projects or transformations for complex, global organizations.
- Ability to build partnerships and develop collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information to senior-level audiences in simple, logical business terms.
- Experience with budget management.
- Experience with Agile Methodology a plus.
