Senior Manager, HRSC & Compliance

Overall Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing strategic shared services advising to responsible Team Members, HR, and customers of the HR Support Center. This role is also responsible for providing strategic leadership to the HR Compliance team to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with employment law and HR best practices. The position drives continuous process improvement efforts by measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the teams’ processes and ensures operational excellence for maximum business effectiveness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  • Define the goals, processes, and HR Support Center and Compliance SLAs regarding the performance of the organization to optimize the Team Member and customer experience through efficient and timely issue resolution.
  • Develop benchmarks by identifying and monitoring key performance indicators. Ensure that performance quality/outcomes scorecards and benchmarking activities are in place; see that the operations team utilizes this data to make improvements. Ensure quality standards are benchmarked against industry best practices.
  • Creates strategy for HR Compliance efforts, prioritizing high risk or high exposure items
  • Review and analyze tier metrics on an ongoing basis to help continuously improve HR Support Center and Compliance operations.
  • In coordination with HR partners and the company’s legal team, leads a team in evaluating HR compliance risk based on the current regulatory landscape and anticipated changes. Leads the compliance function in creating and reviewing company policies and procedures for accuracy and adherence to local, state, and federal laws. Oversee the background and drug testing processes to facilitate the hiring of new Team Members. Oversee unemployment responses and hearings to protect the company’s position in unemployment hearings.
  • Lead training, coaching, engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives for HR Support Center and Compliance Team Members to support organizational growth. Monitor staffing and forecasting for department to determine appropriate resource allocation.
  • Provide functional expertise and support to HR, business leaders and executives regarding HR policy, decisions, and interpretation.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 6-8+ year of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years leading a HR team. HR Business Partner experience is preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field is preferred.

Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Professional Certifications: PHR or SPHR is preferred.

  • Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, analytical, and team building skills required.
  • Ability to write policies, procedures, and executive summaries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Ability to think and learn both tactically and strategically.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in changing and ambiguous circumstances.
