Manager/Senior Manager, Government Affairs

*Remote Position - Candidates Must be Based on East Coast*


Meet has partnered with a pediatric rare disease biotech based in the San Francisco Bay Area that is looking for a Manager/Senior Manager of Government Affairs to join their team. This position will be reporting into the Senior Director of Patient Advocacy and Government Affairs and will be supporting relationship building with state-level Medicaid legislators.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor legislative developments and policies related to pediatric rare diseases with an emphasis on Medicaid coverage
  • Execute advocacy strategies to influence policies that affect rare disease patients
  • Build and maintain relationships with key government officials and policymakers
  • Act as a spokesperson for my client to influence key decision makers


Key Qualifications

  • BS in relevant field required, advanced degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience (government affairs, lobbying)
  • Strong understanding of biotech and rare disease policy space
  • Experience working in small biotech, agency + nonprofit experience will still be considered
  • Roughly 20% travel expected
