Senior Manager, Global Logistics

Description:

A leading, global manufacturer of electronic components is looking for a Senior Manager of Global Logistics to own the sourcing and contract management process for the company's logistics partners. This position required a broad level of experience and understanding of strategic sourcing of logistics services, supply chain management, 3rd party logistics, warehousing best practices, transportation management, contract management, and key supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities:

• Lead global RFx Planning/Process for logistics and perform global rate structures & bid analytics.
• Conduct Logistics Supplier Capability Assessments and Negotiations.
• Lead digitalization/automation of all current logistics processes and reporting
• Host Supplier Management Cadence meetings and track supplier performance.
• Own logistics cost projects to improve margin and performance.
• Establish and coordinate the freight accrual process
• Establish and maintain sustainability programs and sustainability reporting for transportation partners and work with business units to identify and resolve performance deficiencies.

Requirements:

• BA/BS business, engineering, logistics, supply chain, or other related field.
• A minimum of 15 years of logistics and transportation management experience.
• Requires excellent interpersonal, communication (both written & verbal), and organizational skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations quickly.
• Proven financial and business acumen are paramount and must ensure the Global Logistics organization remains a market leader by staying abreast of industry trends through participation in industry and trade associations.
• Experience delivering results within a global organization and a comprehensive understanding of the domestic and international supply chain for transportation and warehousing.
• Exceptional track record of building relationships with stakeholders or customers that have resulted in high customer satisfaction.
