Job Summary: The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be responsible for financial planning, consolidation, and business analysis. Incumbents in this position will prepare and analyze consolidated financial plans and provide advice to senior management and business partners. This role is a key member of the worldwide team and develops best practices for the corporation. Incumbent will work with stakeholders to develop business cases, minimize the costs of projects assigned, and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Works closely with regional management teams to prepare consolidated financial budgets, and forecasts, and perform variance analysis. Prepares ad hoc analysis as required by Management.
  • Develops and establishes consistent reporting on key business financial performance across all global business units; maintains financial and operational KPI reports.
  • Analyzes monthly and quarterly financial results. Provides commentary on the business to enable decision-making.
  • Works closely with other intracompany finance groups to meet deadlines and develop best practices for the corporation.
  • Improves processes and rolls out forecasting and budgeting tools to the business enabling timely and accurate forecasts and budgets.
  • Develops cost-benefit and productivity analysis in line with the company's financial plans and assists in preparing cost-improvement plans.
  • Develops strong working relationships and understanding of the company’s products and services, to facilitate highly effective team working through the business development and contract negotiation cycles.
  • Assists in the implementation of critical business systems to meet Cubic reporting requirements.
  • Prepares presentations to the senior management.
  • Analyzes overheads and optimizes rate structures.
  • Analyzes capital allocation across the business.
  • Leads international indirect reports in a matrix environment.
  • Other duties as required.

Essential Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics.
  • Eight (8)+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis and planning.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly advanced Excel modeling, PowerPivot, and technical consolidation tools
  • Proven ability to navigate complex data and deliver concise management presentations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Experience using SAP.

Preferred Credentials

  • MBA or CPA certification
  • Hands-on project accounting experience

Cubic Pay Range

$96,362.6 – $145,290.46* + benefits.

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
