Senior Manager, Finance & Accounting

A growing energy company north of Boston is looking to add a Senior Manager, Finance & Accounting to its team. This is a newly created position that reports directly to the VP, Finance and will be a highly visible role. In addition to supporting the VP, Finance and the CFO, this position will be responsible for some presentations to the Board, strategic finance projects, and technical accounting/M&S support.

**This role will be onsite 3 days per week**

Highlights:

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of both internal and external consolidated financial reports.
• Conducts research and offers technical accounting advice for all business units, including creating whitepapers on accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide assistance for quarterly management operations reviews, Board of Director meetings, and strategic plan assessments.
• Analyze financial data and prepare monthly management discussions and analyses for consolidated financial reporting.
• Evaluate new accounting standards and oversee the implementation of necessary changes in policies, procedures, and infrastructure across the company.
• Collaborate closely with business unit CFOs and accounting teams to address accounting issues and streamline reporting processes.

Qualifications:

• CPA
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Prior public accounting experience is highly preferred
• Interest in a highly visible role that will support the C-suite
