The Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk develops and implements RBC Bank risk management reports, systems, and processes to minimize Enterprise risks. This role is part of Group Risk Management – RBC Bank Risk Management and will be responsible for managing the RBC Bank Chief Risk Officer Report / Enterprise Risk Report and risk reporting to the RBC Bank Board and its committees. The Senior Manager will provide a key role in ensuring risk reporting to the RBC Bank Board is in accordance with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
What will you do?
Leads the preparation and coordination of the RBC Bank Enterprise Risk Report / RBC Bank CRO Report to the Risk Committee of the RBC Bank Board, working in collaboration with risk contributors to ensure messaging is clear and reporting is sufficient.
Works with the RBC Bank Enterprise Risk Management Committee secretary to ensure proper coordination and escalation of materials to the Board.
Provides effective challenge on risk materials to be presented to the RBC Bank Board and its Committees
Works closely with the Subsidiary Governance Office to set and manage the Risk Committee agenda.
Keeps abreast of regulatory developments, industry best practices and leading trends in governance practices.
Responds to regulatory, Internal Audit and external survey requests as required (e.g. Federal Reserve, OCC, DTCC etc.)
Provide review and challenge of 1LoD action plans and reporting for issues management.
Oversee and report on model governance activities escalating
Primary support for Enterprise Risk related MRA remediation for RBC Bank regulatory issues and CUSO regulatory issues that may have a RBC Bank impact.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Law or other related fields
5+ years previous experience work in a Risk Management role in a Financial Services organization.
General knowledge of key risk disciplines e.g., enterprise, market, counterparty credit, liquidity risk
Nice-to-have
Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Law or other related fields or Risk Management certification (e.g. FRM)
Prior work developing processes and controls related to Heightened Standards or Reg YY
