THE ROLE:
FloSports is looking for a versatile digital media manager to help us grow our audience and build world-class content experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate is comfortable using analytics at every phase of content creation, knows enough about SEO to be dangerous and has experience with email newsletters. This person has a strong grasp on the type of content that resonates with fans. This role will be based in Austin, TX and required to work in the Austin office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages audience development team
Manages two sports vertical content strategies, guides team of creators, which includes full-time employees and freelancers
Reports to Sr. Director, Content
Top-line SEO strategy and implementation
Plans and executes social media strategies
Collaborates with Marketing to help Content team support email newsletters
Development of referral media channel
CMS governance and enhancements
Vendor management/scoping for tooling related to acquisition, engagement and automation
Works with Marketing to understand the value of different content experiences in the subscription funnel, then implements strategy to lean into opportunities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proven success growing and engaging digital audiences via multiple media types: video, written, email and notifications.
Experience applying SEO skills to content production strategies that yield maximum results.
Passionate about getting the most out of their team as a manager; driven to win.
Understands the power of social media, how various platforms are used and the types of Content that performs well on each.
Knows how automation and CMS tooling should be used to drive a successful digital content team.
Uses analytics to build iterative action plans for our coverage.
Organized and efficient approach to content planning and communication.
