About the Company:

Client is seeking a Senior Java Architect to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic initiatives in transitioning our current monolithic applications to a microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in Java development, microservices, cloud-native applications, and modern software architecture principles.

About the Role:

• Microservices Architecture Leadership: Lead the strategic initiative to migrate monolithic applications to a microservices architecture. Define service decomposition strategies, communication protocols, containerization approaches, and API design principles.
• Cloud-Native Application Development: Take a lead role in designing and developing new cloud-native applications using microservices principles and best practices. Choose appropriate technology stacks, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
• Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate closely with developers to implement microservices architecture into existing applications. Design APIs, develop microservices, and integrate them seamlessly to achieve a cohesive system.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate deep understanding of modern distributed systems concepts, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker), and API gateways. Utilize this knowledge to architect scalable and reliable solutions.
• Communication and Leadership: Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to ensure successful project execution.
• Project Oversight: Establish priorities, schedules, and oversee work of systems analysis and programming personnel. Review feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and ensure adherence to standards and procedures.
• Continuous Improvement: Assist in the development of standards, procedures, and operating systems applications. Drive improvements in system efficiency and adaptability through the revision of existing programs.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Java Architect or similar role, with a strong background in Java (including Restful APIs, Node Angular), AWS Cloud concepts, Microservices, SOAP web services, and JSON.
• Hands-on experience in designing and implementing complex, scalable applications and systems architecture.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, performing a variety of complicated tasks.
• Strong problem-solving ability and proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Pay range and compensation package: 160K - 170K Base salary
