Senior IT Analyst I - Application Developer - IMTO

Job Description

The Application Developer will develop, design, build, and maintain custom applications to meet the growing needs of County operations; manage and administer the County’s existing database applications, data conversions, and data processing for various departments; and re-develop existing legacy database and web applications into modern web applications to improve day to day functions and operations.

Starting annual salary range of $66,553.50 - $83,109.00 per year is dependent upon relevant years of work experience in a similar type position.

Work Hours: This position will work and be paid for 75 hours in a 2 week pay period

Current county employees will follow the county's promotion/demotion policy.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and designs custom applications to support business requirements using current web and database development tools and methodologies. (a) Re-develops legacy database and web applications. ( b) Identifies, leverages and implements business needs and workflows. (c) Establishes application performance baselines, corrects application errors & monitors overall performance of web applications (d) Responds quickly to notifications of outages of web applications and web server infrastructure (e) Researches and resolves security concerns with web applications as recommended by IMTO Security Team
  • Design, maintain & implement relational database back ends for applications (a) Creates, maintains and optimizes SQL Queries and Stored Procedures (b) Writes functions and procedures to process data
  • Perform project management for assigned application development and web-related projects.
  • Perform Data Processing, formatting and application development/redevelopment for MH.IDD-EI departments.
  • Develops, updates and maintains contingency documentation and provides training to internal IMTO employees and County employees to leverage technology
  • Works with IT manager and vendors to ensure contracts, maintenance and warranties are properly implemented
  • Maintain and enhance existing internally developed applications providing documentation and contingency planning as necessary.
  • Assist & Backup Lead IT Analyst – Application Developer – Webmaster as needed
  • Create and manage web graphic design elements as needed
  • Research new web technologies for solving specific problems to County needs
  • Attends meetings and training as required
  • Serves on Committees as requested
  • Answers phones for department when needed
  • Assists with Elections support of hardware or software
  • Performs other related duties as necessary

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Science preferred.

  • WORK EXPERIENCE:

Three years technical experience in application design, web design and administration required.

Applicant must possess a valid drivers license and be able to transport themselves to different buildings throughout the county
