Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Investigator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will conduct thorough and impartial investigations into complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, ensuring adherence to institutional policies and legal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Interview complainants, respondents, and witnesses, documenting all interactions.
Gather and analyze relevant evidence to support investigative findings.
Maintain organized and confidential case files.
Prepare clear and concise investigation reports.
Collaborate with HR Coordinators to ensure timely and equitable resolution of complaints.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with five years of relevant experience OR Juris Doctorate or master's degree with three years of relevant experience.
Strong writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word.
Typing speed of at least 80 WPM.
Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with state and federal laws related to discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
Additional Requirements
Experience in a higher education environment preferred.
Own laptop and vehicle.
Residence in Southern California.
Commitment to principles of due process, fairness, and respect.
