Senior Internal Auditor

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced, specialized and/or managerial auditing work in multiple disciplines.
• Responsible for the supervision of daily activity and work of staff auditors.
• Works closely with leadership on the development and execution of the SOX 404 compliance processes for the department.
• Reviews work papers, drafts audit reports and related documentation and correspondence in accordance with department standards.
• Coach and train staff level associates. Develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
• Uses project management tools such as Audit Board and Ops Audit.
• Assists with preparing the annual risk assessment and audit plan.
• Assists in the assessment and communication of audit results, translating findings into level of risk and drives remediation of key issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Information Technology.
• A minimum of 2 years of external or internal audit/SOX compliance experience.
• CIA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of internal auditing and SOX standards, practices, and principles.
• Experience in leading external/internal audits or SOX 404 audit procedures is preferred.
• Highly adaptable to change and strong relationship building skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
