Our client is a global investment management firm. The US operations include a diverse mix of separate investment firms and investment
operations activities. The audit function for the US operations is based in Boston and is part of a 30 plus person global audit team.
Internal Audit provides an independent and objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the firms overall
operations.
The Internal Audit Senior will lead audit engagements globally and be in-charge of audit execution, specifically focusing on organizing and
directing fieldwork, risk assessment and testing of the internal control environment, using a risk based audit methodology.
The role will analyze data and test results to draw conclusions regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of the Audited Units
internal controls, and communicate control issues directly with the Audit Team Management.
The selected candidate will supervise the engagement team members work, develop and write-up audit findings and make recommendations in a draft internal audit report for review by the team managers.
Qualifications
Qualifications
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance; masters degree and professional certification (e.g. CPA, CIA, CFA, CISA) are pluses
Four (4) years of relevant experience is necessary; more experience is attractive
Knowledge of the investment management industry is a must; knowledge of trading operations and front/middle/ back office activities is
critical to success in the role
Relevant experience includes internal audit at an investment management firm, an investment operations professionals with an
interest in getting experience in audit or a public accounting professional with extensive investment company experience
Proficiency in French would be a plus but not necessary
Some travel to non-Boston-based affiliates, including overseas locations may be necessary
