What You'll Do

POSITION: Senior Internal Auditor

WORK LOCATION: Durham, NC - telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the U.S.

Implement and establish policies, best practices, and standards for internal operational audits. Develop and maintain standardized best practices, policies, and systems for audit team. Assist in development of a risk-based audit plan, developing project objects, scope, and audit programs. Perform Financial and IT SOX controls and audits; NACHA and banking related controls and audits; and Operational audits around the treasury operations. Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to serve as trusted advisor and internal auditor for operational teams, working closely with Internal Audit team on audit planning and control testing activities. Prepare clear, concise written reports on audit results and findings. Support operational systems and bank account provisioning and audit processes. Work closely with process owners to ensure corrective action plans are in place to remediate gaps or deficiencies. Perform follow up audits to ensure remediation of findings and report the status of remediation efforts. Assist in coordinating with external auditors on annual audit plan and facilitate with affected teams to minimize impact. Assist with internal investigations regarding financial reporting matters as they arise. Provide audit perspective to special projects assigned, including ACH Rules Compliance, business and asset acquisitions, financing transactions. What You'll Need to be Successful

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3 years of experience in an accounting-related occupation, including 3 years of experience in each of the following: conducting internal and external audits; financial statements in a public company setting; internal audits and risk assessments in accordance with IFRS and U.S. GAAP; SOX testing; financial operations audits; COSO internal control framework; and PCAOB audit standards. All experience may be gained concurrently.

This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance depending on the terms of the applicable plan and the employee’s role.
