The Denver office of SmithGroup is looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join our team.
Working with us, you will:
- Lead the design efforts for all stages of a project, including leadership with the client, contractors, and internal team.
- Assist in management of projects through developing project scope, schedules, job production, quality, and fee management.
- Lead programming, conceptualization, development and integration of strategic design solutions.
- Consult with manufacturers, research and evaluate materials.
- Document architectural drawings.
- Assist in construction administration including responding to RFI’s, preparing sketches and addendums (CCD’s), and visiting the construction site to gather information and/or prepare a punch list.
- Oversee the design work of others to ensure integrated and cohesive design, supervise preparation of drawings for all project phases, and ensure guidelines, quality control, standards and details.
- Lead all phases of the design process including programming and developing workplace standards.
- Mentor junior staff and participate in performance coaching.
- Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process as requested.
- A bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience.
- LEED AP preferred. Architectural or Interior Design registration required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign programs.
- Technical competence and proven experience in schematic design through construction documents.
- The ability to contribute and participate in an interdisciplinary team environment.
