Position Overview
Are you ready to take your IT skills to the next level and make a real difference? At SOLID, we’re looking for a Senior Information Technology Specialist who will be responsible for managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring the security and efficiency of our systems, and supporting the IT needs of our remote workforce. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small but impactful team creating solutions that significantly enhance the lives of U.S. Military service members and veterans.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services.
Ensure the security of IT systems and networks, implementing best practices for data protection and compliance with relevant regulations.
Provide technical support and guidance to remote employees, troubleshooting and resolving IT issues promptly.
Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and reliability of our systems.
Manage software and hardware procurement, installation, and maintenance.
Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements, advising the company on potential implementations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, network administration, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, cybersecurity principles, and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Proven experience with system installation, configuration, analysis, and continuous monitoring and logging.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
