Senior Information Architect

Position Overview

The Senior Information Architect leads, defines, and owns the vision for complex, enterprise Information Management best practices. Provides guidance and governance across project teams.

Responsibilities

• Defines vision for technical solutions. Facilitates a technology approach to requested enterprise grade information management solutions that optimize RGA’s use of technology while minimizing total cost of ownership.
• Provides the forward-looking strategic perspectives of new and emerging methodologies and technologies and how they impact RGA.
• Develops and owns Information Management strategic roadmaps with emphasis on driving out complexity and ensuring the company can scale efficiently and effectively as it grows.
• Works and consults with the various IT leaders and product teams to define information architectures to meet the business needs.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, technology advancements and product/vendor direction, and plays a lead role in developing the skills and knowledge of other information management resources within RGA.
• Active participant in RGA's technology leadership group
• Act as the visionary and strategist for the solution vision.
• Seeks continuous performance improvement in information management solutions and ensures security of information
• Work with IT leadership to define overall recruiting needs and expertise in solution area, professional development needs of technical staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Requirements

EDUCATION:

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred

Master’s degree and/or LOMA certification

EXPERIENCE:

Required

• 15+ years of information & data management experience including automation
• Proficiency in multiple tools of the information management covering databases, data lakes, data fabric, and data science
• Proficiency in a variety of modern information architecture paradigms
• Proficiency in a variety of modern automation tools and frameworks
• Proficiency with containerization
• Proficiency with relational/NoSQL
• Experience with AWS, GCP or other cloud provider
• Experience with performance testing
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Demonstrated ability to lead small teams or projects
• Advanced ability to solve complex problems, drawing upon creativity, experience, and multiple sources of information
• Advanced communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex or difficult information

The general pay range for this position is$143,245 - $213,390 per year. Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles, and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
