Why we are looking for
ModeSens is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior HR Manager to join our team. As the sole HR professional, you will have the unique opportunity to build and shape the HR function, overseeing all aspects of People and Talent. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a critical role in driving our company's culture, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and compliance efforts. You will be responsible for managing payroll, benefits, employee relations, performance management, and the development of company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive People strategies that align with ModeSens' business goals and values.
- Lead and manage the full HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance.
- Build and scale HR operations to support rapid growth, ensuring that systems, processes, and policies are efficient and effective.
- Foster a positive and inclusive company culture that promotes employee engagement, retention, and professional development.
- Partner with the executive team to drive organizational development initiatives, including leadership development, succession planning, and change management.
- Oversee the recruitment process to attract and retain top talent, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience.
- Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain high-performing employees.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and industry trends.
- Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and career development.
- Analyze HR metrics and data to inform strategic decision-making and continuously improve HR processes.
Qualifications
- Proven working experience as an HR leader, ideally in startups grew from 30 to 100 people.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing HR & Talent strategies that drive business results.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with HR systems and databases, with the ability to leverage technology to streamline HR operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of both setting high-level direction and managing day-to-day People operations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
