Job Description:

Reporting / Control:

• Oversee and lead financial reporting. Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, including tax filings and analysis of performance to highest standards. Ensure the fiscal integrity of the business through enhancement and management of accounting systems and controls. Deliver timely, clean annual audits, and tax filings.
• Collaborate with external fund administrator, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits, tax filings, and regulatory filings.
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Create an internal reputation for the finance function as a business partner.
• Be a driver of ongoing critical business transformation initiatives of the company: integration, process, systems standardization, and cost discipline to facilitate further scaling of the business.
• Oversee P/L validation process.

Risk Management:

• Identify and assess financial risks, including market, credit, and liquidity risks.
• Implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with risk management teams.

Communication and Teamwork:

• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Company Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MSF) welcomed.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) credentials required; CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is a strong plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and investment management, with a focus on hedge funds or alternative investments. Experience with multi-manager hedge funds higher desirable.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and investment valuation techniques.
• Proven leadership ability, with experience driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in financial software and systems, such as Sage Intacct, FXAll, Concur, Kyriba and Excel.
