Role Description: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Fund Accountant to manage fund-related accounting functions. This role will be part of a collaborative and fast-paced Finance & Accounting team, reporting directly to the Director of Finance. The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management skills, a passion for customer service, and a strong eagerness to learn and contribute.


Key Responsibilities:

Fund Accounting:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting needs of funds, Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), and relevant GP entities.
  • Collaborate with the external fund administrator for monthly fund book closings.
  • Ensure compliance with bank reporting requirements related to capital call lines of credit.
  • Review quarterly financial statements prepared by the fund administrator.
  • Coordinate and review capital activity, including capital call and distribution notices.
  • Assist with quarterly valuation processes.
  • Reconcile internal books with fund administrator records quarterly.
  • Prepare financial summaries for quarterly and annual investor reports.
  • Support annual audit and tax completion processes.
  • Work with compliance team to ensure adherence to fund agreements and regulatory requirements.


Investment Team Support:

  • Maintain fund performance tracking platform.
  • Provide research and technical support for tax and accounting considerations in investment structuring.


Limited Partner Support:

  • Coordinate with Investor Relations and fund administrator teams to ensure accurate and prompt responses to investor inquiries.
  • Assist in preparing capital call projections and annual budgets.


Skills and Competencies:

  • Team player with a positive attitude and adaptable approach.
  • Curious mindset and strong critical thinking skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and solid understanding of debits and credits.
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience at an investment management firm or fund administrator.
  • Ability to read and interpret legal and tax documents.
  • Fluency in English with excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of autonomy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to proactively plan and problem-solve.
  • Interest in financial inclusion and working with a multinational, multicultural team.
