A well-known $10BN consumer goods and distribution manufacturer is seeking an ambitious, curiosity driven Auditor to transition into their Financial Reporting Team. This position will join a team that is high performing and manages the preparation of the Company's periodic Financial Statements and Press Release for filing with the SEC. This group also assists with technical accounting initiatives, and also owns the the oversight & ongoing maintenance of the Company's internal controls over financial reporting under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
Manage the consolidation of divisional reporting templates and prepare quarterly and annual US GAAP financial statements for SEC filing, including MD&A and other relevant sections.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders such as legal, Tax, HR, compensation, and marketing to gather financial/non-financial information
Coordinate external filings using Workiva platform, with XBRL tagging
Conduct accounting research and analysis for new transactions, business initiatives, and accounting pronouncements for compliance with US GAAP, SEC reporting, and IFRS
Supervise other accounting teams, ensuring proper review of controls & documentation as needed
Assist with transaction accounting, business combinations, and step-up acquisitions
Assist with complex accounting such as: ASC 842, ASC 718, derivatives, investments, system migrations, post-acquisition integration, due diligence evaluations for acquisitions
Assist & participate in financial planning & analysis projects (FP&A) including budgeting, forecasting, and managing capital
Requirements
CPA nice to have
Public accounting experience required
Strong Excel skills (V-Lookups/Pivot tables)
Excellent communication skills
