Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Supply Chain Analytics, the Senior Financial Analyst, Supply Chain will perform detailed, comprehensive analysis of healthcare supply chain spend, including med/surg, pharmacy, lab and purchased services. Develops, revises and effectively communicates analytical summaries to identify cost savings opportunities, contract compliance, price parity opportunities, and standardization and utilization opportunities. The analyst will have the ability to acquire, assimilate, and analyze data from multiple systems and data sources utilizing a variety of business intelligence and reporting tools. The financial analyst will provide support for enterprise supply chain needs - MORs, savings tracking, contract performance, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with Supply Chain team members to provide analysis related to contract/spend summaries, reports, Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracted category savings opportunities, and presentations as assigned
  • Track and validate savings initiatives as assigned
  • Assists with analytics for member rostering audits and facility additions
  • Work to capture and analyze spend data to identify under or unutilized contracted category adoption opportunities
  • Conduct and present analysis and reporting per specific needs
  • Identify and develop reporting foundations which communicate, track, and illustrate Supply Chain initiative outcomes
  • Support all reporting functions such as tracking and trending comparisons
  • Collaborates and communicates with Supply Chain team members and GPO to support and track contract compliance
  • Utilize multiple data platforms to complete tasks
  • Document and analyze supply chain data for monthly reporting
  • Provide contract category analysis to determine merit of clinical initiatives and opportunity assessments

Qualifications


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Accounting, Statistics, Finance or Business Administration OR 5 years of work experience in related functions
  • 3-5 years related work experience as a data, business or financial analyst
  • Experience with decision making software preferred - Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects
  • Experience with large data sets preferred
  • Minimum of four years Materials Management, Pharmacy or Lab experience in a Healthcare setting preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Medical product knowledge required
  • Exposure and familiarity with multiple technology platforms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - English
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment or independently as needed
  • Understand methodologies for performing financial and opportunity analysis of proposals
  • Must be able to help provide new solutions, and to customize reporting based on constantly changing stakeholder needs.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects within deadlines
  • Passion for results - able to drive high standards for self; tenaciously working to meet or exceed challenging goals
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of data and formulate a clear analytical path and process to achieve desired goal preferred
  • Healthcare supply chain/GPO knowledge preferred
  • Healthcare purchasing or analytics experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and process analysis skills preferred
