Job Summary:

We are seeking a collaborative Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and/or FP&A, coupled with exceptional business acumen. As a Senior Financial Analyst at Mercer, you will play a key role in providing insightful analysis to support decision-making processes, driving financial performance and acting as a trusted advisor to business leaders across the organization. This role will collaborate closely with various business lines and departments to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.

Essential Job Functions for Senior Financial Analyst will include:

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Manage and analyze headcount plans, movement, and analysis working closely with cross functional teams.
  • Maintain and evolve capacity models for sales, relationship management, and value-added services across customer segments and markets.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for management, investors, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance, analyze trends, identify areas for business optimization.
  • Collaborate with enterprise-wide teams to develop annual operating plans, financial forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, conduct ROI analysis, and provide recommendations to optimize capital allocation.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business administration.
  • 2+ years of experience in finance related roles.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Masters in Finance (MSF)
  • Experience with Oracle Netsuite and FP&A reporting software.
  • Wealth Management, Finance, or FinTech industry experience.
  • Capacity modeling experience
  • Ability to influence without authority.

Location: This is a remote role with a preference for Boston, MA.

Work Schedule: This professional role requires availability during standard business hours of Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM. At times, the role may have early or late hours to meet business tasks and deadlines for external and internal client needs.

Working Conditions: This position may be in a professional office environment or a dedicated home office workspace which is free of interruptions. Whether position is in a dedicated office space or home office workspace, basic technology needs will be provided to satisfy position requirements. Routinely sitting and standing for periods of time. No heavy lifting over 10 lbs. Travel assumed up to 20% of the time.
